Tests were carried out on vehicle equipped with continuous single inner tube pneumatic caterpillar inflated to pressures ranging up to 0.6 kg/sq cm; effect of pressure on rolling resistance and gripping was investigated on dry asphalt, various type terrains, and snow; results shown in tables are discussed and compared with those for standard and balloon tires, and pneumatic rollers.
