Artificial satellites move in elliptical orbits round planet; in order to survey that planet they must face it; therefore, satellite must be turned at same rate as rate of rotation of planet-satellite line; rate of turn of satellite which must be supplied by attitude control system is calculated; work will be of use in design of attitude control systems for communications, reconnaissance and survey satellites and for entry and re-entry of manned satellites.
