Station forms second stage of Barberine-Vernayaz group of western power stations; when completely developed it will contain 6 generating sets; each set consists of free-jet Pelton turbine, developing 19,300 hp. at shaft and working under net fall of 610 m.; turbine is direct-coupled to single-phase alternator of 11,000-kva. continuous rating.
