In city service motor coach has its greatest economic value when operated in conjunction with electric railways; in suburban and interurban fields it is most useful for comparatively short hauls of 20 miles or less; cost of operating motor-coach service is greater than that of rail service and is always likely to be so; railway operators, with their special training and experience, are best qualified to operate motor coaches and coordinate them with railways.
