Data given indicate that overall economy of storage-battery-operated trucks is higher than that of gasoline trucks; tests on large and practical scale have established 100 watt-hours as power requirement of modern electric truck per ton-mile; comparative investment and operating costs are given for 3-ton trucks, covering per day average of 31 miles; with average cost of offpeak night current, electric truck is about 33 per cent less expensive operatively than gas car.
