Such railway in any case would make use of great trunk line which connects Cape Town to Bukama and even to Stanleyville, which is about half way between southern extremity of Africa and Mediterranean ports; points out that work of constructing northern sections, Trans-Sahara with extension of Chad branch to Congo, would certainly be no heavier than that involved in building and operating southern sections; such railway would soon become source of revenue.
