Hypersonic similarity law, as developed by H.S.TSIEN for bodies of revolution at zero angle of attack, is tested by comparing pressure distributions obtained using method of characteristics; results indicate that, in spite of assumptions made in its development, hypersonic similarity law is valid for relatively wide ranges of Mach number and finenss ratio.
