Growth of city increased railroad-highway grade crossings in Louisville to 188; with system of expressways, traffic could be concentrated on limited number of arteries; railroad and expressway are combined in single right of way; during 6 yr period there were 12 fatal accidents at 23 grade crossings; improvements by eliminating grade crossings; solution of financing by issuance of bonds.
