Two mountain top sites were specially prepared and experimental VOR stations installed for flight testing at Malad City, Idaho and Uklah, Calif; flight tests indicate that very satisfactory VOR performance can be obtained in mountainous terrain by careful selection and preparation of mountain top sites.
