Study conducted on U S Highway 6 in Nebraska for measuring free-flow speed; Electromatic Speedmeter used; it is concluded that there is time-speed variation during 24 hr of day; light condition is greatest single factor causing variation; no sudden transition between daylight and darkness speeds; compiling of year round, state wide sets of speed standards needed.
