Tests are conducted at Boeing Co to determine feasibility of using closed-circuit television for 747 and SST; advantage of belly-mounted television camera lies in ability to observe ground equipment and personnel, especially during preflight and when clearing airplane prior to ramp departure; various aspects of display concept are discussed relating to en route climb segments, en route cruise, descent, approach and landing, and equipment; objectives and results obtained from simulation and flight tests.
