Results of studies made of various concepts examined by Avions Marcel Dassault are summarized; concepts developed include -- tailless delta, conventional swept wing, variable geometry and VTO aircraft; comparison of gust response factor and touch-down speed for various configurations shows that variable geometry has remarkable performance level especially on following points -- take-off and landing, comportment in gust condition (LO LO mission), loiter as well as acceleration plus pursuit times.
