All-metal low-wing monoplane with tricycle undercarriage, aircraft has been planned in two versions; Kittiwake 1, now flying, is single-seater optimized to tow 1000-lb glider to 2000 ft as inexpensively as possible, and designed to gross weight of 1350 lb (4 g) or 1250 lb (fully aerobatic 5.3 g); Kittiwake 2 is two-seat development using same wings, empennage, undercarriage and engine; essentially fully aerobatic trainer designed to appeal to clubs and groups, version is of modern design yet simple enought to be built by amateur without expensive tools; specifications and design features; cutaway drawing.
