Analysis of typical shipboard equipment maintenance procedure work study; requirement was to analyze procedures currently used in engine overhauls, with emphasis on reduction of total time required to conduct overhaul, thereby increasing individual ship and force operational readiness; aims were to establish most effective and efficient overhaul procedure, determine optimum number and skill level of personnel required, and establish time standard for overhauls.
