Features of first of two 4000-ton cellular container ships for Harwich-Zeebrugge container service; whole of cargo space on ships is taken up by sectionalized holds containing cellular compartments, and each vessel is designed to carry 148 standard 30-ft containers of International Organization for Standardization or equivalent in 20-ft and 40-ft modules; ships accommodate 110 of 30-ft containers three-high in holds and balance of 38 on hatch covers; cargo dw is 3000 tons, and provision is made to maintain controlled temperatures for refrigerated containers.
