Description of new twin-screw arrangement in which two propellers are mounted close to ship centerline with overlapping propeller fields; propulsive efficiency, cavitation, and vibration qualities, and results of model tests are discussed; factors that influence hull-propeller interaction problem, advantages and disadvantages of single-screw and twin-screw arrangements presently used are taken into account.
