Electrical and mechanical characteristics of speedometer developed by Kobe Industries Corp, for measuring ship's speed by utilizing "Doppler Effect" in radio waves of UHF 400 Mc band with high accuracy regardless of weather conditions, time, sea zone, or human error; go-astern and stop tests can also be made; this transponder system comprises two stations; former is normally installed on board ship and relay station on shore, although reverse arrangement is possible.
