Launch vehicle is subjected to wind-induced loads that may exceed its structural or control capability; usual approach is to obtain loads induced by 500 or more wind soundings and to analyze these statistically, but computer time involved is prohibitive; this has been overcome by development of computer program that is both accurate (mean error less than 4%) and rapid (700 to 2500 soundings/hr); several examples are presented.
