It is virtually impossible to simulate all conditions experienced by re-entry vehicle exposed to blast effects of enemy countermeasures; however, ballistic-range blast traversal testing technique describedprovides unique method of obtaining experimental data from model traversing blast field; data can be used to confirm analytical prediction techniques and these can then be applied to actual encounter conditions.
