Scheme developed handles general earth-orbit rendezvous mission combining functions of flight planning (targeting) and guidance into single, simple program for onboard computation; improvements have been made, including full-orbit phasing for close to minimum-propellant flight plans, as well as bielliptic-transfer trajectories for shorter flight times at generally higher cost, with chase and "lob" options providing further opportunity to trade fuel for time; targets can be changed in flight; complete rendezvous flight plans are computed in less than 1 sec; results from test cases show present capabilities.
