Study to examine independent variables used in trip generation process in context of developed criterion in order to choose best single variable or combination of variables to most efficiently forecast dependent variables of person trips per household and autos per household; results indicate that linear combination of median household income and percent single family units yields significantly lower error of estimate (and is thus recommended procedure) for forecasting vehicles per household when compared to next best two equations.
