Simple mathematical model of satellite town is presented; it is shown that model contains basic features of satellite new town as well as of satellite residential town; characteristics of commuter travel in satellite residential town are investigated; size of central area and town, distance traveled per unit area, and average distance traveled are evaluated; numerical results for sample set of data are discussed.
