Assuming aerial combat as its predestined role, fighter aircraft should incorporate every feature of design, leaving in background such items as bomb loads and reconnaissance equipment; most maneuverable aircraft will be that with lowest wing loading and lowest flying speed; biplane is somewhat more maneuverable than monoplane; single engined two-seater fighter is superfluous type, etc.
