By use of method presented it has been possible to establish high speed of type airplane so that it may be checked from flights of other airplanes of type and under varying atmospheric conditions; particular benefit gained from determination of critical altitude is establishment of airplane high speed and of increase of high speed effected by careful design of carburetor air scoop for attainment of highest possible ram due to dynamic procedure of air entering carburetor scoop.
