Success and safety of manned lunar missions requires global real time ground electronic support system for vehicle command and control; system is discussed and its capability to support pilot and on board guidance and navigation equipment during launch, rendezvous, injection into lunar transfer ellipse, re-entry, energy management, and landing illustrated; system is essential to provide necessary flight safety for astronauts flying unexplored missions in new and complex vehicles.
