Development of motor racing in recent years and some examples of technical developments are discussed, particularly tires, and experiences with driving of gas-turbine cars, with their unusual characteristics, are described; need for promoting safety measures is noted; characteristics of several famous tracks and races, Indianapolis, Le Mans, Rheims, Monaco, and Nurburgring, are outlined and problems posed by each are discussed.
