"Seal" is prototype long range recovery and support craft for deployment within RAF's Coastal Command, and was built by Brook Marine Ltd; vessel is designed to meet need for weapon recovery and support in off-shore training areas; length oa 120 ft 3 in., beam 23 ft 6 in., molded depth amidships 14 ft 6 in.; two 16-cyl Ventura engines developing 2000 bhp at 1500 rpm drive twin propellers, giving specified maximum continuous speed of 25 knots and range of 2200 mi at 12 knots.
