Unpainted plastic roof and doors are used on 100-ton 5158-cu ft car which has been assigned to Green Giant for Minnesota-to-Georgia service; each roof is series of panels, which consist of sandwiches of polyurethane foam between two layers of fiberglass reinforcement; 50-ft car has 13 roof sections, each approximately 7 in. thick at peak; it is fitted with Equipco bulkheads and Evans side fillers.
