Report of comparative surface temperature and surface corrosion measurements on turbine outlet casings of air cooled and of water cooled exhaust driven turbocharger of marine diesel engine using residual fuel; tests were made on board Archimedes of Royal Netherlands Steamship Co; results indicate that, for turbocharger under investigation, air cooling is to be preferred to water cooling; comparisons are made with earlier studies by same authors on vessel Medon. Netherlands' Research Center T.N.O. Report No. 77 M.
