Experimental data on temperature rise of MT-200 and MT-54 type traction motors; temperature rise due to no-load iron loss in various conditions was measured to analyze armature temperature rise; to investigate ventilation system of MT-200 type motors, effectiveness of air duct on gear side end of armature was tested, and temperature rise in case of forced ventilation was compared with that of self-ventilation type; effectiveness of supplementary ventilation system was confirmed and temperature rise was measured under condition of repeated intermittent loading.
