Hydrofoil ship designed in United States by Grumman Aircraft, and constructed by Blohm and Voss in Hamburg, has been named Corsario Negro and handed over to Maritima Antares for operation around Canary Islands; length oa 75 ft, length of hull 66 ft 8 in., hull beam 18 ft 8 in., draft with foils retracted 4 ft 2 1/2 in. and with foils extended 13 ft 5 in., gross 83 tons; main engine is Rolls-Royce Marine Tyne Marke 621, maximum power 3500 hp, cruise power 3160 hp; plan, photographs showing craft in various stages of building.
