Within 10 yr it is planned that all Manchester Corp's buses will be one-man operated and within 5 yr regular all-day services will be entirely worked on one-man basis; approaches and steps to be taken included adoption of operational research techniques, evolution of simplified fare structure and selection of vehicles; double-deckers carrying up to 98 passengers are to form backbone of fleet and first vehicles of this type are due to enter service before end of 1967.
