Determination of relative performance for two cases where each system employs isentropic spike external compression inlet and internal compression inlet; results indicate that specific impulse of supersonic ramjet will be superior to that of subsonic ramjet at Mach numbers above approximately 7 for configurations having isentropic spike external compression inlets and above 10 for those having internal compression inlets.
