Paper is based on "Project Moonbeam" -- 10,000-lb payload lunar vehicle, feasibility of which is foreseen for 1970; tasks for which crew members may be considered are: monitoring and controlling, failure detection and isolation, and system repair; physiological and psychological factors; areas requiring greatest advancement in interim time period are radiation, meteoroids, zero gravity, and emergency escape.
