Description of traffic control system, covering principal lines of former Great North of Scotland Railway, installed by LNER; network of up-to-date telephone circuits, similar to those in use in other parts of company's system, serves area in which hitherto all communication with outlying stations and signal boxes had been by means of single needle telegraph.
