Extension to Cliff Quay at Ipswich, and new drydock at Wallsend-on-Tyne described; new quay, 1450 ft long, consists of steel cylinder piles carrying reinforced concrete deck structure; drydock is 715 ft in length, 105 ft in width at entrance, and will accommodate tankers up to 45,000 tons and aircraft carriers of "Hermes" class.
