Notes on British development of Turkish harbor, with emphasis on construction of jetty which includes ferry boat landing, berth for two ships of 13,000 tons, auxiliary buildings and rail connection to marshalling yards; jetty comprises sand filled section giving road width of 20 m, concrete approach, transition and head sections on 42-in. diam cylinders; deck and cylinders are of reinforced concrete; steel used in casings, sheet piling and reinforcement.
