Study of slender body of arbitrary cross section; parts of body forward of and behind intake are both permitted to have discontinuities of longitudinal profile slope at streamwise stations widely separated; interference drag between fore and afterbody is calculated and, since their isolated drags are known from previous work, drag of whole body is then known; results are applied to bodies of elliptic cross section and numerical comparisons made.
