Efforts made by Tractor and Implement Div of Ford Motor Co to design harrows that would retain transport and depth control features of superstructure framing method while improving performance in ability of individual harrow gangs to follow irregular ground contours and reduction of tendency toward blade breakage because of motion confinement within hitching method; " Flex-O-Hitch" system of links between tractor and harrow; motion and force analysis evaluating performance of tractor implement combination.
