Study of conceptual power plant design indicates that radiator necessary for rejecting cycle waste heat is dominant weight; thermodynamic cycle using sodium vapor as working fluid and operating at turbine-inlet temperature of 2500 R is selected to reduce weight; total power plant weight is approximately 6 lb per kw.
