Exhaust gas turbocharged Doxford engine is 6-cyl unit designed and built by Scotts' Shipbuilding and Engineering Co, at Greenock; it has rated output of 9000 bhp at 118-119 rpm, which represents boost of 32% over output of corresponding normally aspirated unit; cylinder bore is 670 mm; folding sheet shows sections of engine and pressure charging arrangements.
