First Halford lecture is dedicated to life work of aeronautical engineer with particular reference to achievements obtained starting with development of 230-hp vertical 6-cyl in line water cooled BHP (Beardmore-Halford-Pullinger) engine during first World War, RHA engines etc, to evolution of jet propulsion engines.
