Studies conducted for Army at Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory, Inc, indicate feasibility of apparatus to determine static and dynamic flying characteristics of such small rotorcraft as flying jeeps and flying platforms; test apparatus consists of special towing vehicle, flatbed trailer with mast for mounting test rotorcraft, and telemetering van to collect following data: performance in forward, autorotational and hovering flight, static and dynamic stability, and effect of ground.
