Bearing equipment in Diesel electric locomotives No. 10000 and No. 10001 in service on London Midland Region comprises two single row Timken tapered roller bearings per box; inner races are mounted with interference fit on axle, while outer races are made close fit in axlebox body, though permitting easy withdrawal of body when full inspection of bearing equipment is required.
