Paper proposes modifications to cylindrical blast wave theories of S.C.Lin and A.Sakurai which permit blast wave analogy to be developed for blunt slender body in hypersonic source flow in which there is only small departure from parallel flow within region of interest; purpose of theory is to investigate effect of nonuniformity on shock radius and on surface pressure aft of blunt nose.
