With trajectory tables compiled by National Aeronautical Establishment, it is possible to outline methods of their application in analyses following aircraft disintegration; examples given for determination of throw distances and times which are useful to accident investigator; trajectory analysis may be used to determine region of primary failure and form basis for structural analysis; methods for determination of wind vectors, heights and positions of item separation, and for estimates of drag coefficients and terminal velocities for falling items.
