To establish handling quality requirements for VTOL and STOL aircraft, need exists for simulator which reproduces dynamic responses of vehicle; variable stability helicopter was constructed in such way to vary stability and control parameters requiring investigation by making suitable adjustments to electrical analog models inserted between pilot's controls and autopilot system; installation and tests of autopilot, analog computer, and other equipment installed in H-13G helicopter are described; flight test data.
