Matching turbocharger to light aircraft engines provided improved altitude performance and extended versatility and utility of piston engine by permitting greater speed at higher altitudes with economy and reliability; experience and results obtained from application of turbochargers is related and comparison with other configurations is made; new methods for automatically controlling power are discussed.
