Elaborate underground fuel delivery system that pipes choice from 25 fuels from tank farms directly to plane and is capable of delivering 3.5 million gal of fuel per day through hydrants located at 140 ultimate passenger loading stations, will be built at New York's Idlewild International Airport; heart of distribution system will be new satellite tank farm of 40 tanks, each with 100,000-gal capacity; computerized data control center will continually scan fuel levels in tanks and draw off additional supplies from primary tanks as needed; steel tanks will be arranged within reinforced concrete dikes capable of impounding 500,000 gal in event of tank rupture.
