Optimal control is analyzed of 2 independent dynamic systems which are required to perform together in some specified manner, rendezvous being defined as mutual effort of 2 systems to attain identical state vectors; primarily time optimal problem is dealt with; problem is clarified by example of maneuvering of military aircraft, or ships, but has wider control applications.
